A very special vibe, friendly atmosphere, with home-made food. Definitely worth a visit!! Extra helpful staff, the waiter explained to us the dishes and offered several alternatives based on our preferences. Bonus points for the "strong cheese" baked cheesecake. Not extremely/unreasonably expensive as initially implied by the google reviews. Bonus tip #2: better to book a table in advance.

My husband and our two friends were enjoying a driving holiday in northern Spain and spotted Casa Rufus as the perfect spot for lunch. The C28 road leading up and over the mountain to Casa Rufus was spectacular and really set the scene for our afternoon. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were guided to our table by the owner. We were offered drinks and the menu plus delicious fresh bread and olives. The menu had plenty of choice with fresh fish and locally sourced produce taking centre stage. I chose the onion soup to start which was incredible. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was delicious. The duck was superb too. Pur friends both had steak and just loved it I wish we could have stayed for dinner too. I will certainly be returning and would highly recommend visiting this superb restaurant. A real gem. Thank you to the owner and chef xx

This is absolutely delightful. The food is delicious and the service excellent. The eggs with mushrooms is freshly prepared and a very good sharing plate. The duck is very tasty as are their home made croquettes. The steak with foie and honey sauce is amazing. It was so good, we visited the following evening, extra photos attached!

Had very high expectations for this place considering its reputation we were very underwhelmed. The food was very below par compared to other restaurants in the region. The duck magret was bad, entrecôte so so. Small doses to share. Not worth the reputation.

We were a party of 12. The restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent and the food superb and of very good quality. It was truly value for money. Everyone enjoyed the dishes the chose from starters, mains and desserts. Thank you Casa Rufus for an excellent evening.
